Senior Python Developer – Montevideo, Uruguay

About the role

Globant is looking for a Senior Python Developer to join its Montevideo hub. You will help design and deliver digital products that combine AI, creativity and robust backend services for global clients. The role focuses on building scalable, high‑performance applications that meet evolving consumer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python‑based backend services using Django or Flask.
• Implement RESTful APIs, preferably with FastAPI, and ensure they are secure and performant.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI and machine‑learning components.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for continuous delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and performance optimization.

Required profile

• Fluent English (B2 – Upper Intermediate) to communicate with international teams.
• At least 5 years of professional experience developing Python applications.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work autonomously in an agile environment.
