Technical Lead

About the role

The Technical Lead role at Magenta Innova is a full‑time position based in Montevideo, Uruguay. The role oversees the design, development, and delivery of software solutions, guiding technical decisions and ensuring best practices across the engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture and code reviews while coordinating task planning and execution.
• Mentor team members on technical and professional growth.
• Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to refine requirements, manage technical risks, and align solutions with strategic goals.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and inclusive teamwork.

Required profile

• Strong experience in software engineering with Java, Spring, and microservices, including solution architecture and hands‑on development.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, mentoring ability, and experience working in agile or similar methodologies.
• Proficiency with the development lifecycle (code review, testing, CI/CD, version control, documentation) and a problem‑solving mindset.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
