QA Engineer – Uruguay

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented QA Engineer to ensure our software products meet functional, technical and quality standards throughout the development lifecycle. The role involves designing test strategies, executing manual and automated tests, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute manual and automated test strategies for web, mobile, desktop and API applications.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts and testing documentation.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability and exploratory testing.
• Identify, reproduce, document and track software defects; verify fixes and conduct regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and designers to investigate and resolve quality issues.
• Participate in code reviews, monitor test results and communicate quality risks to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a QA Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer or Software Tester.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with remote, cross‑functional teams.
• Professional, proactive and quality‑focused attitude with reliable internet connection.

Required skills

• Manual testing and test case creation.
• Automated testing and familiarity with test automation frameworks.
• API testing using tools such as Postman.
• SQL and database testing.
• Bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD concepts.
