Senior Backend Engineer Tech Lead (3‑4 month contract, remote)

About the role

FullStack is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer Tech Lead for a 3‑4 month remote engagement supporting a U.S. client. You will join the client’s existing design and engineering team, driving architecture decisions and delivering high‑performance backend solutions for mobile platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Backend‑for‑Frontend (BFF) systems and API middleware.
• Collaborate daily with designers, engineers, and external vendors to align on technical direction.
• Architect scalable microservices and event‑driven components for high‑traffic e‑commerce workloads.
• Integrate AI tools such as LangChain or LlamaIndex into product workflows.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and ensure robust deployment on AWS.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in technical leadership influencing architecture.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed four‑year college degree.

Required skills

• Node.js and TypeScript.
• AWS services: EC2, ECS, Lambda, ElastiCache, S3, CloudFront.
• MongoDB and backend deployment pipelines.
• Salesforce OCAPI/API and CMS‑driven content management.
• Design and security of scalable microservices and event‑driven architectures.
• AI development tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex) and agentic workflows.
• CI/CD, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
