Full Stack Engineer (Backend‑Heavy)

About the role

We are seeking a senior, backend‑heavy Full Stack Engineer to drive the next generation of our revenue‑focused platforms. You will work on mission‑critical systems such as eBid, our real‑time bid management engine, and eMax, an internal intelligence platform, while helping to standardise engineering practices across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop core components of eBid and eMax, delivering high‑throughput, low‑latency services.
• Unify the microservices suite by defining common frameworks, patterns and CI/CD pipelines, and promote OpenFaaS for serverless workloads.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end distributed tracing using OpenTracing/OpenTelemetry to provide deep observability and enforce service‑level agreements.
• Elevate security and quality by expanding automated unit, integration and end‑to‑end test coverage and enforcing secure API design.
• Collaborate with product and revenue teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable code.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating large‑scale microservice architectures.
• Strong background in backend system design, API development and performance optimisation.
• Hands‑on experience with observability tools and serverless platforms.
• Commitment to security best practices and automated testing.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote, agile environment.
