Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through immaculate cleanliness and visual presentation on board. This role leads a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring premium service standards are consistently met while maintaining a safe and positive work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all housekeeping operations, guaranteeing cleanliness, visual appeal, and compliance with brand standards.
• Manage, train, and develop supervisors and crew members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental policies, including proper chemical handling and equipment use.
• Monitor performance metrics, conduct regular inspections, and address guest feedback promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate service delivery and maintain seamless onboard operations.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of progressive housekeeping managerial experience, preferably in upscale hotels, resorts, or cruise ships.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and equipment handling.
• Understanding of talent assessment, quality service standards, and basic HR policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using industry software such as SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, and Kronos.
• Ability to conduct job safety analyses and manage personal protective equipment.
