Test Architect – Regression & Quality Strategy

About the role

Oowlish is seeking an experienced Test Architect to own the regression testing strategy and quality framework for a complex observability and audit platform used by enterprise clients in the US and Europe. This senior, technical leadership position focuses on defining validation criteria across functional, performance, security, scalability, and infrastructure dimensions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement an end‑to‑end regression testing strategy across multiple platform components and environments.
• Translate success metrics and technical evaluation criteria into measurable, automatable acceptance criteria.
• Define comprehensive test coverage for log/metric ingestion, search performance, distributed tracing, audit trail integrity, alerting, and IaC deployment validation.
• Design the automation architecture, select appropriate tools, and build continuous regression suites that validate sprint deliverables.
• Own test environment strategy, test data management, and performance, security, and scalability validation approaches.
• Act as the quality gatekeeper, providing sign‑off for business‑critical releases.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing regression and automation strategies for distributed, data‑intensive, infrastructure‑heavy systems.
• Strong background in observability, logging, tracing, and audit platforms.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work remotely with global engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ownership of quality sign‑off for mission‑critical platforms.
