Strategic Resource Management Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an analytical, organized, and collaborative professional to serve as a Strategic Resource Management Consultant. In this role you will support the implementation of an IT Financial Management tool and contribute to financial and resource planning, IT cost optimization, operational excellence, and the measurement of strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring product‑level OKRs, ensuring alignment with institutional and business priorities.
• Collaborate with product teams to harmonize operating methodologies, prioritization decisions, and budget allocation across RUN, GROW, and TRANSFORM initiatives.
• Support governance processes for prioritization and funding decisions, preparing executive reports and dashboards on budget execution, investment performance, and cost transparency.
• Provide data‑driven analysis to senior management for investment prioritization and resource allocation.
• Support the implementation and adoption of the IT Financial Management (ITFM) tool to improve cost transparency and financial decision‑making.
• Assist in the preparation, allocation, monitoring, and analysis of capital and administrative budgets, including investment proposals.
• Monitor financial resource usage, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and tracking value generated by investments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of progressive experience in analytical, financial or cost management, leadership, communication, cost optimization, strategy development support and technology‑related competencies.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English (spoken and written); knowledge of French and Portuguese is a plus.
• Citizenship of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and eligibility to work without sponsorship.
• No family members up to fourth degree of consanguinity or second degree of affinity (including spouse) employed by IDB, IDB Invest or IDB Lab.
