Talent Sourcer (Contract – Remote, Offshore)

About the role

Makai Labs is seeking an experienced Talent Sourcer on a contract basis to build qualified candidate pipelines for technical and product positions. This is a pure sourcing role focused on finding, engaging, and handing off recruiter‑ready candidates. The position is fully remote, offshore only, and operates as a 1099 independent contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute sourcing strategies for engineering, AI/ML, DevOps, QA, and product roles.
• Run searches and develop passive candidate pipelines using Juicebox as the primary tool.
• Craft and refine Boolean and X‑Ray search strings across LinkedIn, GitHub, and other platforms.
• Conduct cold outreach, manage response sequences, and move candidates into the pipeline.
• Maintain candidate data hygiene in Ashby, including accurate tagging, stage movement, and sourcing attribution.
• Deliver a defined weekly volume of qualified, pipeline‑ready candidates per role.
• Flag credential inconsistencies for recruiter follow‑up and track basic sourcing metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience using Ashby, with fluency in its search, filter, tagging, and pipeline management features.
• Proven ability to work independently in Juicebox, building and refining searches without supervision.
• At least 3 years of sourcing experience, preferably for technical or product positions.
• Strong Boolean and X‑Ray search construction skills across LinkedIn, GitHub, and similar platforms.
