About the role
Lead Canonical's effort to make Ubuntu the preferred Linux platform for highly regulated sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial robotics. You will translate complex regulatory and certification demands into concrete engineering practices and drive a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement development lifecycle processes for mission‑critical systems.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to establish continuous‑improvement methods and quality qualification requirements.
- Measure and report software quality, shaping engineering culture based on data‑driven insights.
- Lead compliance and certification initiatives, working with external standards bodies and partners.
- Mentor and grow teams, fostering adoption of engineering excellence values.
Required profile
- Strong experience in engineering and process management within an agile environment.
- Knowledge or certification of software quality standards such as ISO/IEC 25010 or ASPICE.
- Proven track record of developing people and leading successful compliance/certification efforts.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux.
