Software Engineer – Python/Golang – Kubernetes

About the role

Canonical is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Kubernetes product team. You will develop operators and add‑ons that provide lifecycle management and zero‑ops integration for mission‑critical components on Kubernetes.

Key responsibilities

• Write high‑quality Go and Python code to deliver new features.
• Debug issues and engage with the open‑source community.
• Collaborate proactively with a globally distributed team.
• Participate in 2‑4 weeks of travel each year for internal and external events.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Go or Python (experience with both is a plus).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
• Passion for open‑source, Linux and working with talented engineers.
