About the role

As a Software Development Engineer in Test II (SDET II) on the Kraken Pro team, you will be an experienced individual contributor focused on quality engineering, automation, and developer productivity for a high‑performance trading platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and own automated testing frameworks for backend APIs, integrations, and trading workflows.
• Drive improvements to CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, and overall engineering productivity.
• Review technical designs and merge requests, identifying quality, reliability, and testability risks early.
• Investigate and resolve complex failures across distributed trading systems.
• Define automation approaches and testing strategies for new products and services.
• Mentor engineers and raise quality engineering standards across the team.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to enhance productivity and quality.
• Partner with engineering leaders to continuously improve release processes.

Required profile

• Strong engineering depth with a high degree of autonomy.
• Experience building production‑quality automation frameworks and tooling.
• Proven ability to drive quality improvements across complex, distributed systems.
