Site Reliability Engineer - Core Infrastructure

About the role

Join Payward’s engineering team as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) focused on core infrastructure. You will work with cross‑functional teams to design, automate, and maintain the highly available platforms that power a suite of financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Implement self‑service data infrastructure solutions for multiple business units.
• Design, provision, and manage on‑premises and AWS resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Develop Bash/Shell automation scripts for operational tasks and deployments.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent software releases.
• Create monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to detect anomalies.
• Manage role‑based access control (RBAC) across environments.
• Orchestrate containerized workloads with Kubernetes and Nomad.
• Participate in incident response, on‑call rotations, and post‑mortem analysis.
• Collaborate with software, security, and platform engineers to improve reliability.
• Document architecture, processes, and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in site reliability, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
