Senior Software Engineer – Control Plane & Orchestration (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in control‑plane and orchestration technologies to join our client’s engineering team remotely from Latin America. You will collaborate daily with designers and engineers, delivering high‑performance, cloud‑native services that power large‑scale distributed platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate into the client’s team and contribute to design and implementation of platform APIs.
• Design and build large‑scale, highly available backend services and event‑driven architectures.
• Develop and maintain Kubernetes operators, controllers, and custom resource definitions (CRDs) for multi‑tenant environments.
• Deploy and operate cloud‑native applications in production, including storage solutions (object, file, block, container).
• Implement observability (metrics, logging, tracing, monitoring) and work closely with Site Reliability Engineering teams.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices, including work in air‑gapped or highly regulated Kubernetes clusters.
• Design networking, service‑mesh, and multi‑cluster Kubernetes solutions and build internal developer platforms.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, focused on control‑plane and orchestration.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven track record designing large‑scale distributed systems and reliable RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous workflows, fault tolerance, and failure recovery.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, multi‑tenant environments, and cloud‑native production deployments.
