Senior Project Manager – Uruguay

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager based in Uruguay to lead complex IT projects across multiple domains such as finance, healthcare, and e‑commerce. The role combines deep technical knowledge with advanced Agile and traditional project‑management expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and deliver large‑scale software development initiatives using Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Waterfall methodologies.
• Tailor hybrid project approaches for distributed, multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Manage budgets, risks, scope changes, and performance metrics to keep projects aligned with business goals.
• Leverage AI‑powered productivity tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for task automation, meeting transcription, and knowledge management.
• Coordinate cross‑functional and international teams, ensuring effective collaboration across time zones.

Required profile

• 5+ years of proven experience leading complex IT projects or programs.
• Strong technical foundation with experience as a developer or managing software development teams.
• Excellent communication in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients and senior leadership.

Required skills

• Agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe.
• Traditional methodologies: Waterfall, PMP best practices.
• Project tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Trello, Notion.
• Technical concepts: frontend, backend, APIs, system integrations, cloud environments.
• AI tools and concepts: Claude, ChatGPT, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), prompt engineering.
