Senior Node.js Backend Engineer (APIs & Integrations)

About the role

DaCodes is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer who will focus on building and maintaining high‑impact integrations and distributed systems. You will work remotely with a senior engineering team and a U.S. client, using English daily.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services with Node.js and NestJS.
• Develop and maintain secure REST APIs and internal services.
• Integrate SaaS platforms, payment gateways, notification services, and ERP systems.
• Implement event‑driven flows, including webhooks, retries, and idempotency.
• Contribute to authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, API keys).
• Identify and resolve performance, concurrency, and scalability challenges.
• Improve observability, logging, and error handling in production.
• Own technical decisions and participate in architecture discussions.

Required profile

• 4+ years of production backend development experience.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Node.js and NestJS.
• Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs and webhooks.
• Experience integrating with external SaaS or payment services.
• Solid understanding of OAuth2, JWT, and other auth mechanisms.
• Advanced English for daily communication with U.S. teams.
