Senior Full Stack .NET/Angular Modernization Engineer

About the role

Ascendum is looking for a Senior Full Stack .NET/Angular Modernization Engineer to support a healthcare‑focused client in migrating legacy applications to modern platforms. This hands‑on role requires rapid onboarding, independent initiative, and collaboration with both client and Ascendum teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C# applications on .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET Core 8.
• Support and modernize ASP.NET MVC (Razor) and Web API projects, migrating patterns to .NET 8.
• Develop and tune Entity Framework 6 and Entity Framework Core code, including migrations and performance diagnostics.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL Server queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Maintain AngularJS applications and drive migrations to modern Angular (v20) with a focus on TypeScript.
• Deploy and support IIS‑hosted applications, handling load balancing and authentication considerations.
• Build and troubleshoot background processing using Windows Services and Scheduled Tasks.
• Identify technical debt, propose improvements, and work within agile ceremonies.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience with C# and the Microsoft technology stack.
• Hands‑on experience with both .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET Core 8.
• Proven ability to work with limited direction and quickly grasp complex codebases.
• Strong collaboration skills with QA, client stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams.
