Senior Accountant – Remote (US Timezone)

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a key financial services client. This fully remote position is limited to candidates in the North American time zones and focuses on U.S. accounting standards within a fast‑moving startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for U.S.‑based clients, including reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Apply startup accounting principles while balancing best practices with limited resources.
• Make accurate financial judgments in dynamic, less‑structured settings.
• Integrate and optimize external applications with QuickBooks Online.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and vendor/client interactions.
• Utilize tools such as QuickBooks Online, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, and optionally Rippling, Brex, Bill.com, ClickUp, Gusto, and Ramp.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with U.S. companies; CPA preferred.
• Proven ability to manage external stakeholders, preferably from public accounting or client‑facing roles.
• Strong knowledge of startup accounting practices and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Full professional fluency in English, both written and verbal.
