Senior Collections Specialist – Fintech & Commercial Finance

About the role

The Senior Collections Specialist is responsible for safeguarding capital and maintaining strong client relationships across a portfolio of high‑balance, delinquent commercial accounts. Working remotely from LATAM during U.S. business hours, you will evaluate financial hardship, negotiate repayment plans, and lead loss‑mitigation efforts while ensuring full regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize a portfolio of complex, high‑balance commercial accounts based on risk, balance, and aging.
• Assess cash flow and financial health to structure viable repayment, settlement, or workout arrangements within authority limits.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for high‑value or high‑risk collections cases.
• Conduct due‑diligence, financial research, and risk evaluations to minimize losses and avoid pre‑charge‑offs.
• Track, analyze, and report portfolio performance metrics and delinquency trends to management.
• Ensure strict adherence to FDCPA, state/federal regulations, and internal compliance protocols.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales teams to resolve root causes of payment defaults.
• Mentor junior team members on negotiation best practices, compliance, and dispute resolution.

Required profile

• 5+ years of collections experience with complex, high‑balance or high‑risk accounts in fintech, merchant cash advance, commercial lending, or B2B financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical judgment and expert negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely while aligning with U.S. business hours.
