Treasury Analyst

About the role

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for daily purchase payments, ensuring cut‑off times are met and Treasury reporting is accurate. The role also includes managing group and personal mailboxes, handling foreign‑currency payments, and supporting technology‑driven process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Process Demurrage, Derivative, Regular Oil/NF, finance payments, cash transfers, SWIFTs, offsets and intercompany payments within internal deadlines.
• Provide proof of payment to internal stakeholders and generate reports to monitor payment cut‑offs.
• Manage foreign‑currency payments in coordination with the Treasury FX team, applying correct FX rates.
• Efficiently manage group and individual mailboxes, responding to queries from banks and internal teams.
• Identify operational inefficiencies, propose technology‑driven solutions, and collaborate with IT to test system enhancements.

Required profile

• Excellent written and spoken English (B2+) and Spanish (C2+).
• Bachelor’s degree or final‑year student, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, dashboards).
• Ability to learn new software quickly and work in a technology‑enabled environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, dashboard development).
• AI tools experience (Claude Cowork, Claude Code) and automated workflow creation.
• SWIFT knowledge and ISO20022 format familiarity.
• Basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
