Senior Accountant (Contador Senior)

About the role

Fiserv is seeking a Senior Accountant to ensure the accuracy and completeness of its financial records, support the Finance team, and provide high‑quality financial information to the business. The role combines strong technical accounting expertise with a proactive, business‑oriented mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing activities, meeting corporate deadlines.
• Perform account reconciliations and detailed accounting analyses.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, accounting standards and company policies.
• Support internal and external audits, coordinating required documentation.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Analyze financial performance, trends and variances to inform decision‑making.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Finance and other departments on strategic projects.
• Monitor internal controls and contribute to risk‑management and corporate governance.
• Manage company liquidity, cash flow, banking relationships and financial risk exposure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting, corporate finance or treasury.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and regulatory compliance.
• Proactive attitude with solid analytical capabilities and business insight.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
