Sabre Travel Agent

About the role

We are seeking a knowledgeable Travel Agent to provide best‑in‑class consulting using the Sabre reservation system. The role supports an independent advisor business owner, handling domestic and international travel arrangements for leisure, corporate and entertainment clients.

Key responsibilities

• Book air, car, hotel, and limousine reservations using the Sabre GDS.
• Issue tickets, process exchanges, MCOs, voids and refunds through Sabre.
• Prepare invoices via Sabre or the Agent Portal as required.
• Deliver consultative customer service throughout the booking process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Research destinations, accommodations, travel advisories and costs using online resources.
• Resolve customer service issues directly with vendors while keeping the independent advisor informed.
• Plan international itineraries, applying knowledge of geography, routing, fare structures and entry requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or at least five years of full‑time experience as a travel agent handling domestic and international bookings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for client counseling.
• Excellent dispute‑resolution abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities.

Required skills

• Proficient use of the Sabre reservation system (graphical mode preferred), including GDS formats, shortcuts, pricing, fare calculations, e‑ticketing and exchanges.
