Retail Banking Strategy & Performance

About the role

The Retail Banking Strategy & Performance role supports the Director of Retail Banking in shaping and executing BBVA Uruguay's retail banking strategy. You will turn strategic priorities into concrete actions that drive profitable, sustainable growth, enhance customer experience, and accelerate digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the definition and execution of Retail Banking strategy, translating BBVA Uruguay and Group priorities into objectives, KPIs, owners and milestones.
• Monitor business performance, identify deviations and promote corrective actions.
• Prepare analyses, recommendations and presentation material for the Director, Management Committee, Steering Committees and other relevant forums.
• Coordinate the strategic agenda of the area, ensuring follow‑up of decisions, commitments, risks and dependencies.
• Lead the executive management of the Transformation Factory and its portfolio, working with program teams, product owners and stakeholders to prioritize value, meet deliverables, deadlines and impact KPIs, and to escalate deviations under “Stop or Go” criteria.
• Develop business cases and analyse market trends, competitive moves and best practices for value propositions, pricing, products, alliances and investments.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Finance or related fields.
• Relevant experience in consulting, strategy and/or business development.
• Experience in economics and finance, preferably in retail banking, payments, investments, SMEs or digital transformation, and proven ability to work with senior management and multidisciplinary teams.
