Accounting Analyst (Temporary Role)

About the role

This is a temporary Accounting Assistant position supporting the Finance team in daily financial operations, reporting and reconciliations. The role covers day-to-day reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable monitoring, and assistance with month-end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliations and monthly accounting and reporting of derivative positions
• Monitor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable balances, including accruals and aging analysis
• Carry out daily reconciliation and reporting of sales invoicing
• Assist with month-end closing: prepare journal entries to accrue inventory, derivatives, receivables and payables, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and perform cash flow reconciliation and reporting
• Calculate bad debts and assist in preparing financial statements and ad hoc reports
• Ensure accuracy, proper reconciliation and timeliness of financial reporting
• Support internal and external audit processes

Required profile

• Public Accountant or advanced student
• At least 2 years of experience in a large multinational company
• Knowledge of Portuguese preferred; fluent English (oral and written)
• Analytical skills with attention to detail, eagerness to learn and strong interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel
• Power BI knowledge is a plus
