Remote WordPress Developer (Latin America)

About the role

FullStackFullStack is looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join its talent network and work remotely with U.S. clients across Latin America. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and engineers on project‑based assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Integrate and optimise WordPress search solutions using tools such as Relevanssi, SearchWP, ElasticPress or Algolia.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to improve site architecture and navigation.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex usability and search‑related issues.
• Implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines for WordPress applications.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to code libraries.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on web development.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Proven expertise in custom WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Hands‑on experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS/SCSS.
• Experience evaluating technical trade‑offs between custom development and third‑party plugins.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset.
