QA Automation Engineer (Node.js & Distributed Systems)

About the role

Applaudo is looking for a QA Automation Engineer who loves building reliable automation frameworks for complex backend systems. You will work on validating APIs, distributed architectures, and asynchronous messaging while partnering closely with development teams to ensure high‑quality software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test suites for backend services and Node.js applications.
• Perform functional, integration, regression and API testing, including validation of asynchronous messaging workflows.
• Test applications and services hosted on AWS and verify distributed system interactions.
• Collaborate with developers to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Identify, document and track defects, assess production risks and edge cases.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in QA automation, preferably testing backend services and APIs.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
