Public Cloud Project Manager

About the role

Canonical is seeking a Public Cloud Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects for its Tier 1 enterprise public‑cloud customers. The role blends technical advocacy for Canonical’s open‑source portfolio with strong customer relationship management, and it is fully remote within the Americas region.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver programs and projects on schedule, within scope, budget, and resource constraints.
• Identify and mitigate technical and project risks, escalating issues when needed.
• Maintain a customer‑focused approach, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
• Conduct regular status meetings and business reviews with customers.
• Manage delivery schedules for critical third‑party deliverables.
• Handle cross‑organization engineering requests outside existing contracts.
• Advocate appropriate Canonical technologies to customers.

Required profile

• Proven background in the IT cloud industry as a software development project manager, program manager, agile manager, or scrum master.
• Deep understanding of Linux, open‑source ecosystems, and public‑cloud environments.
• Experience leading cross‑cultural, remote, and globally distributed teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
