About the role
We are looking for a Principal Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise‑scale integration platforms on Microsoft Azure. The role combines strategic architecture definition with hands‑on technical leadership, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with business outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Define and enforce architecture standards for API ecosystems, micro‑services and cloud‑native solutions.
- Design end‑to‑end integration platforms using Azure services such as APIM, Functions, Service Bus, Event Hubs, AKS and Azure SQL.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to model domains, create event‑driven architectures and implement DDD principles.
- Guide engineering teams through code reviews, pull‑request feedback and proactive removal of technical blockers.
- Champion AI adoption, including Copilot‑assisted development, LLM integration and responsible AI governance.
- Implement observability practices (monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, telemetry) using OpenTelemetry and related platforms.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in a senior technical leadership or architecture role.
- Proven track record designing enterprise‑scale integration platforms and distributed systems.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
Required skills
- Modern .NET development (async pipelines, enterprise‑scale codebases).
- API design, OpenAPI, OAuth2, OIDC, API security and identity management.
- Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) and Event‑Driven Architecture (EDA).
- Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and micro‑services architecture.
- Cloud‑native architecture on Microsoft Azure (APIM, Functions, Service Bus, Event Hubs, AKS, Azure SQL, Application Insights, Azure AI Services).
- CQRS, Event Sourcing, Saga patterns and distributed transaction management.
- Observability tools including OpenTelemetry, monitoring, logging and distributed tracing.
- AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and LLM integration.
