Manager of Systems & Automation

About the role

Blend is seeking a Manager of Systems & Automation to act as the bridge between its business teams and the IT/integration team. In this business‑facing role you will partner with finance, people, operations, legal, marketing and delivery functions to identify workflow gaps and drive technology solutions that improve efficiency and reduce risk.

Key responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders across commercial, delivery and GES teams to map current processes and pinpoint friction points.
• Identify, prioritize and maintain a backlog of automation, integration and platform‑utilisation opportunities.
• Translate business needs into clear, scoped requirements for the IT team and participate in solution design.
• Track delivery progress, manage expectations and validate that solutions address the original problem.
• Develop working knowledge of Blend’s core platforms, promote adoption of existing capabilities and support change‑management for new rollouts.
• Distinguish process problems from technology problems and champion scalable, repeatable solutions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in business operations, systems or technology enablement.
• Proven ability to work with both business leaders and technical developers.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on translating needs into actionable requirements.
• Experience managing stakeholder expectations and driving cross‑functional initiatives.
