Management Accountant – LATAM

About the role

The Management Accountant LATAM will ensure accurate trial balances for both local and group reporting across Trafigura entities. You will support accounting, cost management and reporting processes, delivering high‑quality financial data to internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage a variety of financial and operational reports.
• Support the preparation of clean trial balances for local and group reporting.
• Maintain data‑management controls to guarantee data accuracy.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and coordinate with internal teams and external parties.
• Document work processes and identify efficiency improvements.
• Execute administrative tasks that support departmental operations.
• Participate in system and software development projects, including testing and implementation.
• Provide flexible support for ad‑hoc requirements, documentation, and audit requests.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a near‑graduating advanced student.
• Advanced proficiency in English (B2) and Spanish (C2).
• Meticulous, detail‑oriented and able to work with multiple systems simultaneously.
• Proactive, flexible and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis.
