Lead Software Engineer - Analytics & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to head our App team within the Analytics & Reporting group. You will combine hands‑on development with people‑management, guiding a small, cross‑functional squad to deliver customer‑facing data APIs, analytics features, and reporting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, and operation of public data APIs and micro‑services.
• Lead the development of the Analytics section of the client platform, including frontend filtering and custom report APIs.
• Maintain and evolve QuickSight reporting and the underlying gold‑layer datasets.
• Manage the full production lifecycle on Kubernetes/AWS, including observability, SLOs, and on‑call rotation.
• Hire, mentor, and conduct 1:1s for a team of six engineers (backend, frontend, QA).
• Collaborate daily with Product Managers, Designers, UX Researchers, and the Lead Data Engineer.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering production‑grade software.
• Strong ownership mindset: you build, run, and troubleshoot services end‑to‑end.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work with cross‑functional partners.
