Principal AI Engineer - Agentic AI & Databricks (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

FullStack, an AI-native engineering partner, offers project-based, flexible development work through its talent network with U.S. clients. As a Principal AI Engineer focused on Agentic AI and Databricks, you join the client's team and work daily alongside their designers and engineers.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development and data engineering experience
• Advanced English and a completed four-year college degree
• Experience designing, building and deploying multi-stage agentic AI pipelines and intelligence workflows in production
• Hands-on model routing across providers such as Azure OpenAI and Anthropic Claude
• Strong data engineering background with Databricks and complex SQL for warehouse-scale operations
• Experience building evaluation frameworks, ground-truth datasets and trust/provenance scoring systems
• Experience architecting backend systems driven by configuration and LLMs rather than hardcoded logic
• Primary technical authority for distributed systems, orchestration frameworks or AI platforms
• Agile/Scrum experience, ownership of complex systems and ability to work through difficult issues
