IT Support Technician – Tier I

About the role

Lightspeed is seeking an IT Support Technician (Tier I) to serve as the first point of contact for internal employees experiencing technical issues. You will provide timely, effective assistance for hardware, software, and account‑related problems, helping to keep business operations running smoothly while developing your IT expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 issues for hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and basic account tasks such as password resets.
• Troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and macOS desktop and laptop problems, including software installations and updates.
• Support mobile device setup, printer configuration, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
• Create and manage user accounts in Entra ID (Azure AD) and process access requests.
• Log all tickets with detailed notes, prioritize, and escalate complex issues when needed.
• Maintain and update support documentation and knowledge‑base articles.
