About the role
We are looking for a freelance Mathematics and Python expert to help design and validate computational problems that train and evaluate AI systems. This project‑based role is remote and ideal for candidates with strong mathematical backgrounds and solid Python coding skills.
Key responsibilities
- Design original computational mathematics problems that mimic real research workflows.
- Create Python‑based problem statements using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and SymPy.
- Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
- Develop problems covering number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, numerical analysis, and related areas.
- Base problems on genuine research challenges or practical mathematical applications.
- Verify solutions programmatically and provide clear documentation with correct answers.
Required profile
- Degree in Mathematics (pure or applied) or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in research, applied mathematics, or teaching.
- Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
- Experience with numerical methods, symbolic computation, and computational complexity theory.
