Data Engineer – Cloud & Analytics (Snowflake, PySpark)

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to support a major global customer. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines while having the opportunity to specialize in Snowflake, analytics engineering, or PySpark‑based processing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data‑engineering practices.
• Orchestrate workflows with Apache Airflow and implement CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Integrate on‑premise and cloud systems (e.g., Oracle to Snowflake) using CDC or similar technologies.
• Collaborate on data‑modeling initiatives to support analytics and reporting.
• Optimize queries, storage models, and pipeline performance for cost efficiency.
• Maintain documentation, data lineage, and best‑practice standards across the data ecosystem.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable role.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex query development and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline development.
• Experience with CDC tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Oracle, Kafka) and real‑time streaming pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT tools and data‑pipeline development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
