Backend Developer (Node.js)

About the role

Applaudo is looking for a Backend Developer who is passionate about building scalable, high‑performance services that power mission‑critical applications. You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and maintain reliable backend solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
• Build, enhance, and support RESTful APIs.
• Implement asynchronous messaging workflows with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Amazon SQS.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS.
• Troubleshoot production issues and deliver sustainable fixes.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
• Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement of backend services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience developing backend applications with Node.js.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
