Application Support Engineer – Night Shifts

About the role

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join Evertec’s payment processing team on night (and intermediate) shifts. The role ensures continuous, efficient operation of our financial transaction platforms and provides technical assistance to production applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support for payment and transaction processing platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents using tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow or Mantis.
• Execute SQL queries for data analysis and problem solving.
• Administer Linux systems via console/bash for monitoring and support tasks.
• Document technical and functional processes clearly and systematically.
• Interact with financial messaging protocols (ISO8583) and payment networks (MasterCard, VISA, Amex).

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in software/application support.
• Experience in financial, banking or fintech environments.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and meet strict SLA requirements.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer experience.
