Android Developer

About the role

Altimetrik Uruguay is seeking an experienced Android Developer to design and deliver scalable, high‑performance native Android applications. You will join an agile engineering team that builds innovative digital solutions for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain native Android apps using Kotlin, Java and the Android SDK.
• Implement modern UI with Jetpack Compose and leverage Jetpack libraries, Flows, and architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVI.
• Write automated unit and UI tests with mocked data to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate in Agile sprints, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain code‑generation tools, including annotation processors, KSP and Kotlin compiler plugins.

Required profile

• Advanced English proficiency (B2/C1).
• 5+ years of professional experience developing native Android applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
