Accounting to Reporting Analyst (Fixed Term, 9 Months)

About the role

Syngenta's Accounting to Reporting Team in Montevideo, Uruguay, is looking for an Accounting to Reporting Analyst on a fixed-term contract of 9 months. The role supports the area's month-end closing and financial reporting, including sales reporting and intercompany matching, and works closely with the GFO accounting partners in India.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure month-end closing process excellence and provide accurate, timely substantiation of monthly financial reporting submissions in line with Syngenta Financial Reporting requirements.
• Record all business transactions accurately and on time in the ERP system, applying IFRS rules for group reporting and local GAAP rules for statutory reporting (local ERP only).
• Meet monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements.
• Be mainly responsible for sales reporting and intercompany matching.
• Work with GFO partners in India to ensure data quality and reliable outputs.
• Collaborate with Business Finance to verify accounts and provide substantiation for approval.
• Contribute to financial compliance, process improvement and efficiency, and support internal and external audits and the timely remediation of audit issues.

Required profile

• Advanced student or graduate accountant (mandatory).
• 2-3 years of working experience in accounting.
• Intermediate level of English (mandatory).
• Intermediate Portuguese (desirable).
• Immediate availability required; no relocation support provided.

Required skills

• Intermediate Excel knowledge (mandatory).
• ERP experience (SAP highly valuable).
• Autonomy, results orientation, reliability, strong organisational skills and learning agility.
