Senior Full‑Stack Engineer – Java, Node, React, Typescript (contract)

About the role

Compass International Holdings is looking for a senior full‑stack engineer to join the Cartus business line. You will design, build and modernise production services while working remotely from Argentina, Uruguay or Mexico.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy robust backend services using modern Java and Spring Boot.
• Migrate legacy Node.js/TypeScript services into the new Java/Spring Boot architecture.
• Implement rigorous unit and integration tests (JUnit or equivalent) to ensure quality.
• Build, deploy and scale event‑driven services on AWS serverless platforms such as Lambda, ECS and SNS.
• Leverage AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) in daily development, refactoring and testing.
• Contribute to full‑stack initiatives by applying React expertise when needed.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily backend.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Strong commitment to code quality and testing discipline.
