Senior Data Governance Analyst

About the role

Blend, a leading AI services provider, is looking for a Senior Data Governance Analyst to drive enterprise‑wide data governance initiatives. The role combines data analysis, metadata management and AI‑enhanced tooling to ensure data quality, compliance and lifecycle management across critical data domains.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support end‑to‑end data governance processes and documentation.
• Perform data profiling and analysis to uncover quality issues and recommend improvements.
• Manage business and technical metadata, leveraging AI‑powered tools for classification, tagging and sensitive data discovery.
• Monitor data assets for compliance, flag violations and propose corrective actions.
• Support AI‑assisted data retention, archival and lifecycle policies, and validate governance controls against regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to document data definitions, rules and stewardship activities.
• Communicate governance updates and findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data governance, data management or business/data analysis.
• Strong understanding of PII discovery, confidence scoring and data masking concepts.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Experience with data governance platforms such as Atlan, Collibra or Alation.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, AgentCore).
• Knowledge of AI‑driven data classification, tagging and masking tools.
• Familiarity with metadata management and data stewardship practices.
• Awareness of CoCo and Cortex (a plus).
