About the role

The company, a national retail and services group, is looking for a Product Manager focused on Technology. The role will oversee the Technology and Office categories, ensuring sales, margin, stock, and profitability targets are met through strategic purchasing, assortment planning, and supplier negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage the product mix, identifying new brands, products, and market trends.
• Plan purchases and replenishments based on forecasts, seasonality, and commercial cycles.
• Control stock levels, rotation, stock‑outs, and obsolescence.
• Negotiate prices and commercial terms with national and international suppliers.
• Set pricing, margin, and profitability targets for the categories.
• Analyze sales, margin, and stock indicators, producing reports and projections for decision‑making.
• Coordinate actions with Commercial, Marketing, E‑commerce, Logistics, and point‑of‑sale teams.
• Lead a Purchasing Assistant.

Required profile

• University or tertiary education in Administration, Marketing, Economics, International Trade or related fields.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in Purchasing, Category Management or Commercial roles, preferably in retail.
• Proven negotiation experience with suppliers and handling of sales, margin and stock indicators.
• Strong affinity for technology products and market trends.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• Application of artificial intelligence to business processes.

What we offer

• Hybrid work model (office in Montevideo city centre).
• Schedule: Monday‑Thursday 9:00‑18:00, Friday 9:00‑17:00.
• Occasional travel within Uruguay and abroad.
