Data Engineer

About the role

ALTOUR is looking for a technically capable Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines on its Snowflake platform. You will work independently within a small, experienced team, taking full ownership of your workstream from requirements to production deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data pipelines and transformations following architectural standards.
• Write clean, well‑tested Snowflake SQL and Snowpark (Python) code.
• Integrate Snowflake with upstream ETL tools such as Talend and downstream BI solutions like Power BI.
• Manage personal task backlog, estimate effort accurately, and meet agreed timelines.
• Raise blockers early, propose solutions, and contribute to code reviews.
• Document design decisions and keep technical specifications up to date.

• Strong ownership mindset, able to manage a full workstream from briefing to production.
• Proactive communicator who flags design ambiguities and suggests approaches.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on performance and quality.
