Project Manager - Uruguay

About the role

NextLink Labs is seeking a Project Manager to lead client engagements within its consulting practice. The role involves overseeing software and technology projects from kickoff through delivery and closeout, ensuring they stay on time, on scope, and on budget while delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end client engagements, including kickoff, planning, delivery cadence, and closeout.
• Develop detailed project plans covering scope, timelines, resources, and budget aligned with SOW deliverables.
• Manage scope against the SOW, negotiate changes, prioritize work, and handle change orders.
• Track budget, forecast burn, provide time‑tracking inputs, and coordinate invoicing.
• Serve as the day‑to‑day client contact, building trust, managing expectations, and facilitating difficult conversations.
• Identify risks and issues, escalate when necessary, and maintain regular health updates and status reports.
• Contribute to the broader PM practice through process improvements, template creation, and mentorship.

Required profile

• Strong background in project management for software or technology consulting.
• Experience operating in a professional services environment with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, negotiate scope, and protect engagement economics.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, customer‑obsessed mindset.
