Forward Deployed Engineer (AI) – Remote (Uruguay)

About the role

NextLink Labs is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join its AI practice. You will work directly with clients to design, build, and deploy production AI systems, focusing on robust data infrastructure and real‑world AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with clients to translate ambiguous business problems into production‑ready AI solutions.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines and data infrastructure for AI‑powered applications.
• Develop Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, agentic workflows, and evaluation guardrails.
• Integrate AI components into existing client environments via REST/GraphQL APIs, event streams, and cloud‑native services.
• Contribute to internal accelerators and reference implementations to strengthen the AI practice.

Required profile

• Strong technical depth with the ability to work in ambiguous, client‑facing environments.
• Hands‑on engineering mindset and comfort with rapid prototyping and production hardening.
• Excellent consultative skills and enthusiasm for direct client interaction.
