Administrative & Finance Associate (G-6) – Montevideo

About the role

The Administrative & Finance Associate (G‑6) supports the UNICEF Uruguay Country Office by ensuring that specialised administrative and financial processes run smoothly and comply with UNICEF policies. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role works closely with programme, fundraising, operations and external relations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor specialised administrative processes, ensuring compliance with UNICEF rules, delegated authorities and office SOPs.
• Provide budget and financial monitoring, payment and invoice processing, and vendor contract support.
• Offer operational guidance to staff, identify and resolve process issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of workflows.
• Assist in the preparation of annual work plans, risk assessments and other management documents.
• Coordinate with the Global Shared Services Centre, LAC Regional Office and external service providers.

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of UNICEF financial rules, procedures and internal controls.
• Ability to ensure timely, accurate transactions and strengthen compliance and accountability.
• Experience in administrative and finance support within an international or development context.
