Senior Software Engineer - React Native - Payments

About the role

Kraken is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Payments & Blockchain team. You will help build and maintain high‑quality payment processing systems that power the movement of digital and fiat dollars on the exchange.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain payment processing platforms using React.js, React Native and related technologies.
• Create seamless transaction experiences that prioritize speed, security and reliability.
• Improve onboarding flows for users interacting with payment features to reduce friction.
• Develop innovative features that boost engagement, retention and loyalty within the payments ecosystem.
• Set standards for secure, high‑quality code and lead the development of complex financial software.
• Influence technical decisions, contribute to product strategy and ensure compliance with security best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong background in building payment or financial systems.
• Experience working with blockchain or crypto‑related technologies.
• Passion for delivering secure, reliable solutions in a fast‑moving environment.
