Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET

About the role

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer (SDET) at Sparq, you will design and maintain robust automation frameworks that enable fast, reliable delivery of AI‑driven products. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and Agile teams to ensure high‑quality releases across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable end‑to‑end automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript, including page object models and reusable fixtures.
• Develop automated tests for REST and GraphQL APIs with Postman, validating functionality, integrations, and service‑level responses.
• Perform backend and data‑integrity validation through SQL queries and database‑level testing.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Diagnose and resolve test failures, distinguishing application defects from framework, environment, or test‑data issues.
• Maintain test cases and execution results in TestRail, aligning automated coverage with test plans and release criteria.
• Collaborate with developers, product stakeholders, and Agile team members during sprint planning, Scrum ceremonies, defect resolution, and UAT cycles.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate delivery while reviewing and validating generated code.
