Trade Finance Analyst – Oil

About the role

The Trade Finance Analyst will support TFG Marine’s international oil trading activities by delivering efficient treasury and trade finance solutions. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners such as banks, insurers and counterparties to ensure optimal, cost‑effective financing.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and approve cargo loadings and discharges, ensuring contractual compliance and risk mitigation.
• Arrange risk coverage for sales positions through banks or insurance providers.
• Review transaction contracts in line with company policies.
• Manage stock releases, monitor exposure, and perform weekly mark‑to‑market valuations of storage positions.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders (banks, insurers, counterparties) and internal teams (Operations, Treasury, Accounting, etc.) to align financial and risk requirements.
• Receive, record, and distribute shipping documentation promptly.
• Process cargo payments and manage cash positions in collaboration with banks and Treasury.
• Liaise regularly with global offices in Singapore, Geneva, Athens, Madrid, and Mumbai.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a trading company or financial institution with solid knowledge of treasury and trade finance instruments.
• Well‑organized, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
