Telephony & Unified Communications Engineer

About the role

Join BASF's Montevideo Hub as a Telephony & Unified Communications Engineer, supporting daily coordination, operation, and governance of Unified Communication services delivered by an external provider. You will act as the primary liaison between business users, internal stakeholders, and the provider to ensure reliable, business‑aligned service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day Unified Communication services with the external provider, ensuring SLA and KPI compliance.
• Organise and lead regular service review meetings, track open actions, incidents, and improvement measures.
• Support major incident handling, problem management, root‑cause analysis and continuous service improvement.
• Gather business feedback, translate requirements for the Product Owner and provider, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate governance artefacts, service records, and reporting on service quality and provider performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Informatics or a comparable field.
• 6+ years experience with Unified Communications technologies and services.
• 3‑5 years in IT service coordination, service delivery, and provider management, using ITIL processes.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in global enterprise environments and agile project work (nice to have).
